Day 1
Check into your boutique hotel in Tain, perched above the rolling vineyards of the Northern Rhône. There’s nothing to do today but arrive properly — settle in, then make your way to the terrace for a charcuterie platter and a glass of wine each, taking in views over the hillside vines as the pace of the trip begins to set in.
Day 2
This morning, take the short and scenic walk across Tain’s historic bridge to one of the region’s most celebrated estates, for a vineyard tour and tasting that traces the steep, terraced slopes responsible for some of the Northern Rhône’s finest wines.
From there, you’ll continue to a long-established family estate for a relaxed lunch paired with a tasting of their wines.
In the afternoon, swap wine for something equally indulgent: entry to an interactive chocolate-tasting experience at a renowned chocolate maker’s factory, just down the road.
The evening is yours to spend as you wish.
Day 3
This morning, your private driver will take you further north, into the upper reaches of the Northern Rhône, for a tour and tasting at one of the appellation’s most iconic and historic producers.
Lunch follows at a thoughtfully chosen restaurant nearby — whether a Michelin-recognised dining room or a charming local spot, we’ll select the best option to suit the day and your preferences, with the option of a winery lunch if a suitable estate is available.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit a second estate further north, ideally balancing red and white wines against the morning’s tasting for a fuller sense of the region’s range.
Your driver will then take you back to your hotel in Tain, ready for a relaxed evening.
Day 4
It’s time to check out and head home… or to your next destination!
