Day 1
Whether you’re driving, flying, or arriving by train, we’re on hand to assist with your journey planning. Once you’ve checked in and settled, the evening begins with an introductory tasting of Bordeaux wines — within walking distance of your hotel.
Day 2
You’ll join your guide at a central Bordeaux meeting point for a full-day shared group tour of Saint-Émilion. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow wine enthusiasts and enjoy the convivial atmosphere that wine country inspires.
Travelling in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, you’ll visit two wineries for guided tours and tastings, with a relaxed picnic lunch at one of the estates. There will also be free time to wander the cobbled lanes and limestone architecture of the UNESCO-listed village of Saint-Émilion itself.
That evening, we’ll have arranged a dinner reservation at a restaurant serving haute French cuisine — the perfect way to round off a day spent among some of the finest wines in the world.
Day 3
Today is yours. Bordeaux — often called ‘Little Paris’, though the locals will tell you it was Paris that was designed in Bordeaux’s image — is a city that rewards unhurried exploration. The waterfront, the old quarter, the covered markets, the Grand Théâtre: a free day rarely feels short here.
Day 4
Time to check out and head home — or on to your next destination. If the region has captured you, we’d be delighted to arrange an extension: a split-stay in the vineyards of your favourite appellation makes for a beautiful continuation. Take a look at our other Bordeaux packages for inspiration.
